It’s been a crazy fun summer. I don’t even know where to begin. Living with Jamie is amazing. Her pool is my favorite thing to do in Vegas for sure!
Kenzie visited for 3 weeks…. that just flew by. Wish she could have stayed longer. We had a BLAST!
Matt finally got some work and when it rains, it pours. He’s freelancing with two different companies so he’s working like crazy. It will be awesome once the paychecks start to roll in… looks like we’ll make it after all!
Went to Utah Shakespeare Festival (it’s hard to remember to call them that instead of Utah Shakespearean Festival) and saw Midsummer Night’s Dream and Noises Off! Both were great – Happy 50th anniversary Utah Shakes!
Have been setting some new goals ans sticking to them. What have I accomplished…? Let’s see…
One month of no fast food CHECK!
One month of no refined sugar CHECK!
Swim at LEAST 2 times per week all summer CHECK (so far… and mostly hitting 3-5 times per week.)
Getting very close to a couple other goals too. I’m impatient and I want it NOW….but…. I can wait.
Only 2 more days of my 2 week dark at Cirque. Then I go back to work for 4 days. THEN I’m off to Nashville for 5 days and then the Oceania Insignia for 2 weeks. Barcelona to Venice. I love that cruise. I also love Cirque for letting me do some ships to supplement my income while I wait for a real full time position to come available. (Hopefully at Zumanity but I’ll take whatever I can get – for realz.)
Lots of pals have come through Vegas too. I’ve seen Tracey, who I haven’t seen since HIGH SCHOOL and Kerry who I haven’t seen since 5th GRADE. Also lots of Utah pals and Gary Musick pals who have come through. Aunt Betty had breakfast
with us one day on her way home to AZ.
Yeah – Vegas agrees with us. I love the desert. Never thought I would say that. Oh – I forgot to mention that Cooper is now a pool dog. He jumps in whenever he’s hot. That is fun to watch!
So happy end of summer everyone! It’s still plenty hot here but we had the windows open last night and will probably be able to do that again soon. Looking forward to fall and all the excitement it will bring.
Have a great day!
