Whew I am tired today. Slept like 9 hours last night and didn’t want to get out of bed. Went to yoga and was in child’s pose before the third downward facing dog. I think it’s the amount of exercise combined with the lack of calories. Does that sound obvious? I guess I did have -9 total calories for the day yesterday. I just wasn’t interested in the last glass of lemonade. I drank lots of water instead but I guess the lesson is that you have to have more calories than you burn period.
I’m good now, I’m tired but the kind of muscle tired you get from working hard, not the I need a nap kind of tired.
Two more days after today! I can’t believe I made it this far all by my lonesome. No help, no encouragement. Just me making the decision to do it and stick by it. I’m so proud of me right now.
As for the Paleo vs Keto question… Almost everyone said paleo but when I questioned them they admitted they didn’t know about keto. (Not counting Ty, who did) So with that in mind I am sort of leaning toward the keto version. Some things I have learned.
Keto is 65/30/5 (fat/protein/carb)
Paleo is 55/25/10 (would be for me using their equation)
So not much difference in that respect.
Keto is gluten free
Paleo is dairy and gluten free
My husband is lactose intolerant which means Paleo should be my choice and most likely is where I’ll end up.
Keto allows for my beloved cheese and cream in my coffee so that’s where I’m gonna start.
I’m going to work on some dairy free options for hubby. We already looked at caveman chili which is awesome and add cheese on top so it’s good for both of us!
We are also going to Whole Foods to look at dairy free cheese options so I can make Meatza!
Yes, once I’m eating food again, I’ll post some recipes.
That reminds me, I do have a lovely carrot, apple, pineapple juice recipe that I can post.
