Just keep swimming (ha)

So today my gym buddy was busy (she’s getting married on Saturday or something) and I had a backup friend going to yoga with me. This backup friend is a little flighty and she bailed on me last night. Sadly, being the unmotivated slob I am, I didn’t go. I confessed to my gym buddy and she immediately called me and made me promise to get in the pool for 30 minutes. So I did. It was cold! And by cold I mean 82 degrees. Yeah, yeah, that’s not cold, blah blah. You try getting in and tell me that.
Anyway, the keto eating is good! I’m not coming anywhere near my calorie limit. In fact, myfitnesspal is yelling at me that I’m eating too few calories. I’ll be the judge of that! If I’m full, I’m full. No more overheating in my life. No more bored eating either!
The coolest thing about doing the master cleanse is that I learned to hear my body when it is actually hungry. I drank the liquid as meal replacements instead of sipping it all day like some people choose to do. So I was actually hungry when I drank a glass. Now I know what hunger feels like. It’s empowering, frankly.
I’m seriously liking this diet. I like all the veggies I’m allowed to have and for that matter, I can have just about any veggies as long as I stay under my 24g of carbs per day. I like that this isn’t really a diet, but more of a lifestyle. However, if one more misguided soul tells me their arteries would clog if they ate like me…. I will probably snap and force feed them some bacon. 🙂
Oh one other exciting thing happened today. I couldn’t get my heart rate monitor to register, which was pissing me off until I realized it was because it was too loose to make a connection! I had to synch the strap an inch! Woot woot. I’m looking forward to taking measurements again in 3 weeks.
Swimming 56 minutes
294 calories burned
