It is really cool! They send me products to try based on my interests and I review them. I just got my first Voxbox and it’s Dessange hair products. I just saw the full product line at Target. I got the California Blonde collection (minus the Illuminating Elixir – I guess they didn’t think I needed it.)
It smells like flowers. I like it! It gave my hair some body and shine. I tried the color correcting stuff (which is BLUE) but my color was pretty ok to start with so I didn’t leave it on very long. I have a feeling I’ll use it in the future when I start using the pool regularly again.
Overall, I like it and I think I’ll buy it when I run out.
I’m in the home stretch. One week to go. Today this blog goes to a weekly update due to me boarding a cruise ship for the next 3 months. I’m in a US port on Sunday’s.
This past 3 weeks has been hard. Long work hours, limited exercise time. But I have prevailed. I stayed on my diet and even when I over did it, I never full on cheated. I went over my allotted calories one time and only by 57 so I feel really good about my progress. Never did make it to a scale but I know my clothes are looser and the most recent photos I’ve posted have gotten great comments about how I look thinner. That’s good enough for me right now.
Once I’m on the ship and settled I’ll be able to get back in the gym on a regular basis. I’m looking forward to that. This last week I’ve only been ONCE. Sad. But I’ve done plenty of running to make up for it at work.
Anyway, my flight is boarding so I’m off to the next part of my adventure. See ya later!!!
Getting out of work so late makes it hard to go to the gym. I’m usually ready for dinner immediately upon getting home and then I have to fight the urge to stay on the couch. This week the couch has won because of major at home paperwork. I’m fighting that by doing sit-ups, push-ups, leg lifts in my living room. Not as good on the cardio side but great core strengthening.
I leave for the ship in 4 days. I have a million things to do on top of my regular job. I have a feeling this will become a weekly blog soon.
Less than 2 weeks to go. I’m doing great on the eating side. Happy with my energy levels and the way my clothes fit. Wish I had a scale but at the same time, it might not be down very much and that would put a damper on how awesome I feel.

So I’m on location for rehearsals and the gym at my apartment doesn’t have a scale. Sucks but I guess it’s good because I was a little obsessed…..
However, I had two NSV’s this week. First one was buying a dress at Macy’s that was NOT plus sized!!!! Second was today I put on a shirt that was too small when I bought it and it fits really well!
The hardest part about working a mid shift is finding time to go to the gym. I get up at 8am. I leave for work at 9:25. I get home around 8p and still have an hour or so of work to do, not to mention make and eat dinner.
I have been trying to go straight to the gym when I get home. Stay an hour, come back home, make dinner because I am usually starving (read: HANGRY) and then finish my work. Watch a little tv, talk to hubby if I can, fall into bed at midnight….and repeat.
So yesterday I went to the gym. 421 calories on my gym circuit. 62 minutes.
15 minutes yoga warm up
30 min treadmill 1.5 miles
4 sets 20 on the ab machine
3 sets 20 of the squat machine
10 minutes on the bike 2 miles
Still finding time to work out. Still following my keto macros. Can’t weigh myself because my gym has no scale but I swear I’m going to Publix on our next grocery run day and I’m getting on the sca.e no matter who is watching. I feel good. Life is good. I can do this.
